Privacy Policy

Dipper Worker (“the Software”) is a local-first desktop AI workspace assistant. We respect your privacy: by default the Software does not collect, store, or analyze your chats or files through our intermediary servers.

1. What we collect

The Software is not operated as an account-based cloud product. In general, we do not actively collect your name, email, conversation content, or workspace files.

If you download installers from this website, visit the site, or interact with us on public channels such as GitHub, those services apply their own privacy rules (for example, host access logs).

2. Where data lives

Chats, workspace files, memory, and local settings stay on your device by default (for example, your workspace folder and local config directory). Uninstalling the Software or deleting that local data removes the corresponding on-device content (back up anything you need to keep).

3. Model providers and third parties

When you configure and call a third-party or self-hosted model API, requests may include your input, recent chat history, file snippets read by tools, command output, fetched web content, or memory summaries—so the assistant can do its job.

Once that content is sent to the provider you chose, retention, logging, and training policies are governed by that provider’s terms, not by Dipper. For highly sensitive data, use local or private endpoints, or avoid letting the assistant read those files.

  • API keys are stored locally by the Software and are not written as plain text into workspace config.
  • External skills, MCP servers, or third-party extensions may access the network or local resources—install only what you trust.

4. Website and downloads

This website introduces the product and provides download links. The host may keep ordinary technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and access time) for security and reliability, not to build a profile of you.

5. Children’s privacy

The Software is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us below and we will help remove identifiable information where possible.

6. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the date on this page. Continued use of the Software or this website means you acknowledge the updated policy.
